Sylvania ToLEDo Filament Light Bulbs
Hi there, welcome to Light Bulb World TV
In this video we'll be talking about Sylvania's ToLEDo range of LED filament bulbs.
One of the most exciting developments in the the world of lighting, these bulbs are as you might imagine, a bulb with a filament; like the old incandescent bulbs we've all used for many years, but made of LED strip.... An amazing advancement... but more than that, thanks to their full glass enclosure, they provide exactly the same light in all directions, making them the ultimate replacement for incandescent light bulbs.
Available in a few different versions:-
The standard light bulb, known in the trade as GLS,
Candle, both standard...... and decorative with a bent tip
Squirrel Cage, in vintage tinted and standard clear glass
These last two models are especially good for those of us bitten by the Vintage Decorative Lighting bug, but want to use energy saving examples rather than burning a hole in our electricity bill with inefficient incandescent lamps.
All available with the standard caps, BC, ES and SES, its easy to find a use for these bulbs in your home.
Let's take a look at them in action:
Instantly producing full light capacity when switched on, with 2.5, 4 and 6 watt versions available, these bulbs are equivalent to 25w, 40w and 60w bulbs respectively. The 124mm Globe however, produces an impressive 1000 lumens at 7.5 watts. This means for the same amount of light as a 60 watt bulb, the 6 watt bulbs would be consuming 90% less energy. That's an amazing saving. Add to this an incredibly long life span, from 6000 hours for the 45mm round bulbs, all the way up to an incredible 15000 hours for the larger 4 and 6 watt examples. Bearing in mind a standard incandescent bulb lasts for 1000 hours, you get the idea how long these bulbs will last.
Dimmable versions are available, and will dim from full...... to nothing with no flicker or cut out, giving ultimate control over your light level. It is worth bearing in mind these dimmable versions will require a change of dimmer, as they will not work with a standard Leading Edge control normally used for dimming standard incandescent and halogen bulbs.
So there you are, LED Filament bulbs. Genuinely the ultimate replacement for standard incandescent bulbs on the market.
Thanks so much for watching, see you again next time on Light Bulb World TV.
