Integrated LED Downlights Overview
Hi there!!! Welcome back to Lightbulb World TV.
In this video, were going to take a look at integrated LED downlights, what we have available on our LED Downlights page at lightbulbworld.co.uk.
As the LED revolution forges ever onward, more efficient and easier to use versions of familiar household items continue to appear on the market, and the integrated LED down light is no exception. Essentially the same as the old type of down light that many of us may have in our homes, but without the need to change the bulbs thanks to continuing advances in LED technology. Long life LED chips that will never need replacing, aided by built in heat sinks that disperse heat away from the chip, making lamp life even longer.
Available in several different types, wattages and functions – let's take a look at what we have available.
Bell: Several versions are available from this giant of the lighting industry, The Bell Firestay Range includes fixed, adjustable and baffled versions all at 8 watts, producing between 530 & 550 lumens. The most versatile is the Firestay variable colour temperature version. Fully dimmable and switchable between Warm, Cool and Daylight white so no need to choose which down light to buy, just install and see which you prefer. It also includes quick fix loop in/ loop out connectors and a magnetic Satin Nickel bezel which simply clicks over the supplied white one.
Aurora: The M Series from Aurora is a comprehensive one, with 5, 7 and 10 watt versions available, plus the new 7 watt mPro with the highest lumen output of the range at 600 – 640 lumens. Dimmable and Non-dimmable versions in Warm and Cool White although the mPro is dimmable out of the box, plus removable bezels in White, Satin Nickel and Polished Chrome for ease of decoration or if you change your mind.
Enlite: Although a subsidiary of Aurora Lighting, Enlite produce an impressive range of products in their own right that punch way above their price point. A very notable downlight form Enlite is the Spryte. Available in 8 or 10 watts it packs an impressive 550 lumens, way more than a standard halogen GU10 bulb. Ideal for very slim ceiling voids thanks to its 60mm depth, although not fire rated, the Spryte is a brilliant little downlight for the money. Flagship models are the E8 and E5; 8 watt and 4.5 watt respectively producing 565 lumens and 355 lumens. Both are available in warm and cool white and are dimmable as standard, with a built in insulation cover on the back allowing it be covered by insulation without the need for firehoods or cutouts and is fire rated to 30, 60 & 90 minutes. Removable bezels again make choice and redecoration a simple task.
